The sailing trousers are made from the advanced 3-layer EXTREMEDRY membrane, which makes them both waterproof, windproof, and breathable. All seams are taped, so you won't find any leaks here.
Ideal for the quality-conscious keelboat sailor in Scandinavian waters, whether you are cruising, racing, or training.
The sailing trousers have reinforcements at the back on the seat area and at the front on the knees. Furthermore, they can be adjusted in height around the wide shoulder elastic straps or tightened at the waist. There is, of course, also Velcro closure at the ankles, so you can tighten them whether you are sailing in shoes or sailing boots.
The sailing trousers are extremely ergonomic, allowing for good and easy movement, but they are also not so large that you "swim" in them. Both in the back and chest, the sailing trousers go relatively high up, so they also protect and warm the upper body.
At the zipper, there is an internal "wind catcher", so neither cold, air, nor water can get through the zipper.
The trousers have two practical pockets with waterproof zippers around the hips. One on each side. In addition, a slightly larger pocket with Velcro closure on the right leg.

What is a water column test
A water column test measures how waterproof a fabric is. A fabric sample is clamped into a testing machine, after which the water pressure is gradually increased. The pressure corresponds to the weight of a water column, and the test records at which column height, measured in mm, the first drops of water penetrate. 18,000 mm means that the fabric can withstand pressure equivalent to an 18-meter-high water column. This is far more than even heavy rain and sea spray. For comparison, 5,000 mm is normally already considered waterproof.
